Your Support

Hi, we want you to support us as much as we want to support you. There are SEVEN ways you can do that. (Ok only 5 at the moment but 2 more are on the way).

  1. Sign up for our Newsletter. A monthly summary of updates to the site and any changes in rules, new products or new techniques or safety issues that have arisen. Plus an Armoury Tip extracted from our vast library of information. We have some gems to share with you! This is free and available now.
  2. Complete our Survey. (Not yet available) Tell us about you. Are you a parent finding your way around fencing for your child? A fencer fixing your kit or for others? Are you a Club Armourer? Or do you shy away from the tech stuff and use a regular Armourer or friend? Are you available as a volunteer to set up competition venues? Are you looking for a training course?

We want to know about the state of armoury knowledge, abilities and aspirations in your area. Help us to help you, and you to help others, by taking part in our survey. It’s not available just yet, but it is on the way. And, no, we are not going to sell your data! (or that from the Newsletter either!)
  3. Do you offer your services outside your club? Skilled Armourers are in demand as much as Coaches and Referees. When you take the survey (coming soon) you can advertise your Armoury service on this site. There will be a feedback process for your customers, too. It’s hard to beat personal recommendation for skills and good service. We can also offer advice on charges and taking payments online.
  4. Write something for the site. Whether something for an empty box in the Armoury Workshop a suggestion or an idea, some news you have heard, a review of a new product or supplier, let us know through The Armourers Bench.
  5. Tell us your Armoury stories. Good experiences, bad experiences, events you have armoured at. Show us Armourers at work. Use the Armourer’s Bench to send these stories to us, with pics.
  6. Spot the problem. See our Gotchas page. You’ll get the idea. By showing examples of repair, rules or safety gotchas we can all learn by examples of how not to do it. Again, send them in via The Armourers’ Bench page
  7. Support us directly. Websites are not free, our sponsorship only lasts for two years and we are already nearly one year in because of the development time. We expect interest to grow in the site and that means greater capacity in the software we use and that means buying licences.

If you appreciate the information and advice found on this site do consider a contribution through By Me A Coffee. If you become a sponsor with a small, regular monthly contribution, through the same channel, we have a number of benefits lined up for you including:
  • Immediate notification of the site changes, rules, products, safety, etc., rather than the 4-5 week wait,
  • And some that we are still working on including, possibly, some discounts…

We are also looking for sponsors, advertisers and affiliate deals as our user base rises. Use the Contact page if you want to advertise or make our members an exclusive offer.

Meanwhile, Keep Calm and Keep Fencers Fencing!
